German Craftsmanship: A Collaboration with Seidensticker Direct
Founded in 1919, the family run company, Seidensticker are Germany’s biggest producer of shirts. With presence in over 70 countries, there is no surprise that Seidensticker have become so successful. German precision in the shirt making is one of the most striking features as durability is assured with double seaming and an optimal collar fit.
With the launch of www.seidenstickerdirect.com I was presented with a fantastic opportunity to work with Seidensticker alongside fellow influencers Craig (That_Dapper_Chap) and Jake (thedebonair). Together we curated a photo shoot to showcase the Seidensticker Shirts. Being the undisputed market leader in Europe as the biggest producer of shirts today, we really wanted to create something special. The first location was the Courthouse Hotel in London, where we showed a formal side of styling and then took to the ultra-retro streets of Brick Lane and Spitalfield for a smart casual look.
Perched in the heart of the West End, we shot a formal look with the talented Ian Clark at the Courthouse Hotel. I wore a Tuxedo made by my good friend, Naj Alavi, and partnered it with the Seidensticker slim fit non-iron white shirt. The moment I put this shirt on it struck me how beautifully it fitted. The most noticeable difference to other shirts I have worn was the tight sharp fit around the waist. Check out the pictures below for the formalwear looks we went for.
For the second look we shot around Brick Lane. For this look, I wanted to really put together a look which showcased the blue and white pinstripe shirt in all its glory. I love the versatility of this shirt and the ability to dress it up and down. I went for a light fabric beige coloured suit, a neckerchief and a pair of RayBans. If you passed me in the streets of London that day, you may have mistaken me for a notorious art collector with a story or two. In fact, at one point, Jake did think he would be caught up having to buy some fine art from me!But this look really portrays the diversity of some of the looks I go for. With the formal white shirt to a smart casual pinstripe shirt, Seidensticker cater for the modern man.
