Postcards from Kenya
The magical Masai Mara. There are only a handful of experiences in life which quite literally take your breath away, and the Masai Mara is one of those. Growing up, my brother and I will watch wildlife documentaries and be completely engrossed in how the day-to-day lives of these incredible animals unfolded. When you go to the Masai Mara, that memory comes rushing back. One thing that was particularly striking - which I had not given much thought to before - was the dramatic landscapes you experience on the Mara. The vastness and tranquility of the Masai Mara awakening in the morning, the beauty of its residents and the harsh reality of life in the wild facilitates a more deeper understanding of the circle of life. This was an experience of a lifetime and although I have tried my very best to capture some of those memories, you have to go to the Masai Mara yourself to truly appreciate why so many people are drawn towards it - not to mention that it sits high on the travel bucket list for many!
